SLPS had a great time helping Church of the Sacred Circle at their 2015 Spring psychic fair “Rite of Spring” on Saturday, May 8, 2015 from 4-8 pm. Even though it was a rainy and overcast day, the fair was busy with patrons coming for tarot, angel, astrological, and palm readings. Some came for healing, others to find their destiny, with question about school, work, and love. President Daniel Cureton had a great time reading palms and using his Deviant Moon Tarot.

SLPS read the Tarot for Crimson Nights at the University of Utah on Friday, August 29, 2014 from 9pm-Midnight. Crimson Nights, put on by the Union Programming Council (UPC) really enjoyed the SLPS tarot the last time and invited us again to read. Students lined up immediately and the line stayed full the entire night, with several students stating they waited 45 minutes to an hour for a reading (and that’s with three readers!). People continued to line up, even after the sign was taken down. SLPS hopes to do it again at the next Crimson Nights!

President Daniel Cureton and SLPS adviser April Love had a great time tabling at Plazafest II this past week on Wednesday, January 8, 2014 from 11am-2pm in the University of Utah’s Student Union Ballroom. With snow falling outside, the usual free tarot helped attract interested persons and snow dodgers to the group and get acquainted with a few pagans. Some of the passersby that stopped for a reading had had positive experiences with SLPS free tarot from previous semesters and were return patrons! A few brochures flew off the table and SLPS hopes to see those folks at the next Witches’ Tea!

The 12th annual Salt Lake Pagan Pride Day was a success! The festival began at 10am on Saturday, September 14, 2013 in Murray Park’s pavilions 1, 2, and 3 and lasted till 6pm. SLPS had a beautiful sacred space set up and offered free tarot readings. The shops Gypsy wagon of American Fork, UT, and The Typsy Gypies of Lehi, UT were the neighbors for the day on either side of the SLPS. booth. The day opened with the morning ritual by the Four Dragons Clann of the 1734 Tradition and people filing in for free readings. As noontime approached, the heavens opened and rain poured down for twenty minutes on everyone. Most of the guests took cover under the canopies and pavilions and watched the bards and belly dancers perform their art. The rained stopped and the people returned. 4pm brought the closing ritual by Harts Hearth Clan of Grantsville. They performed a ceremony to Frey And Freyja in the northern asatru tradition. 6pm was the close and everyone packed up to return home till next year’s pride. Till we meet again!
