SLPS had a wonderful time reading tarot at the U of U Fall Plazafest Wednesday, August 26, 2015. Always a fun time, the students flock to the table for free readings and advice, wanting to know how their semesters are going to go. Daniel Cureton and April Love had a table next to the Chinese Christian Church and another Christian group who were recruiting. It rained slightly, but the clouds passed and the rain didn’t bother anyone. Serving the students is a fantastic way to perform community outreach and service, helping them set their lives in order so they can perform their best with their studies.

SLPS had a great time helping Church of the Sacred Circle at their 2015 Spring psychic fair “Rite of Spring” on Saturday, May 8, 2015 from 4-8 pm. Even though it was a rainy and overcast day, the fair was busy with patrons coming for tarot, angel, astrological, and palm readings. Some came for healing, others to find their destiny, with question about school, work, and love. President Daniel Cureton had a great time reading palms and using his Deviant Moon Tarot.

Twice a year SLPS has an opportunity to do service. This fall brought it around on Saturday, October 5, 2013 at one of the bi-annual psychic fairs called “Fall Wonders” at the Church of the Sacred Circle in West Valley. The large yurt is accommodating to up to ten readers and people at a time. A fire was going in the pit, and a pagan vendor was selling geodes and kambucha on the side. Sergey Khrushchev, Daniel Cureton and April Love worked as readers, donating the money earned to the Church. The fair went from 12-8 and had waves of customers coming in, seeking advice with the cards and oracles, as well as getting their astrological carts read by Heron Herodia, one of the leaders of CSC at whose back yard the yurt sits on.

On March 23, 2013, SLPS read tarot for free for the students at the Rock the U Marathon for Cancer Awareness. Daniel Cureton, April Love, and Lauren Holman brought their tarot decks for a few hours, and over the load music in the Union Ballroom at the Student Union Building at the University of Utah, read the card for about 30 people. SLPS enjoys this type of service, as it’s free for the students, gives everyone practice, and allows them to make more connections with people without considering money.
