SLPS had a wonderful time doing $5 tarot at the 13th Annual Belly Dance Festival by Thia at the Utah State Fairground on Saturday, March 1, 2014, in North Salt Lake. The festival ran from 10am to 10pm. It included various vendors, belly dance troupes, music, and shows. As the day went on, the more well know and advanced troupes performed, leading up to the grand performance at 10pm. SLPS though, after nine hours of tarot and forty readings, dancing, and music, packed up and headed to dinner at the Rio Grand at 8pm for the cilantro chicken!

The 12th annual Salt Lake Pagan Pride Day was a success! The festival began at 10am on Saturday, September 14, 2013 in Murray Park’s pavilions 1, 2, and 3 and lasted till 6pm. SLPS had a beautiful sacred space set up and offered free tarot readings. The shops Gypsy wagon of American Fork, UT, and The Typsy Gypsies of Lehi, UT were the neighbors for the day on either side of the SLPS. booth. The day opened with the morning ritual by the Four Dragons Clann of the 1734 Tradition and people filing in for free readings. As noontime approached, the heavens opened and rain poured down for twenty minutes on everyone. Most of the guests took cover under the canopies and pavilions and watched the bards and belly dancers perform their art. The rained stopped and the people returned. 4pm brought the closing ritual by Harts Hearth Clan of Grantsville. They performed a ceremony to Frey And Freyja in the northern Asatru tradition. 6pm was the close and everyone packed up to return home till next year’s pride. Till we meet again!

Well with everything settled down again, it’s time for reports! We had a successful venture at the LGBTQ Pride Festival a few weekends ago ┬áSaturday and Sunday, June 4-5, 2011. Many folks stopped by our table and signed up for the newsletter and updates. A few people paid dues and became members, took information and all together enjoyed our presence. All of the newsletters we took (About 50) we’re gone on Saturday. A few folks even felt generous enough to put a few dollars in our donations can. All in all, it was a success! So now it’s back to the old routine of full moons and holidays, but not to worry, many events and activities are coming up this summer!
