The Pagan Society had a great time at the 19th Annual Spring Fest Belly Dance Festival, put on by Thia on Saturday, March 16, 2019 from 11-6pm. The Society read tarot and palms for about 20 people, watched the dancers, and enjoyed the atmosphere at the Utah Cultural Center. The UCC is a better fit for readings as the noise is reduced from the stage to the vendor area, than when Spring Fest was at the Fair Grounds in North Salt Lake. As part of the St. Patrick’s Holiday, the table was themed in green.

Hi Folks, just a reminder that we are updating old posts, unarchiving them and changing the metadata. We’re trying to preserve our digital history while providing transparency, which has always been our practice. Please just delete the emails sent to your inbox about “new posts” from years ago (2009-2018). We appreciate your patience in this update, but we had about 450 posts and are down to 200, and each update sends an email.

TPS Members met in Big Cottonwood Canyon on Saturday, February 2, 2019 to honor the return of the light. Known as Candlemass to the Catholics, This sacred holiday honors the coming light and spring and is ruled over by Brigid in the Celtic pantheon.
The fires were lit, poetry read, and music played. A meditation to Brigid was performed under the music of “Imbolc” by Lisa Thiel on her album Circle of the Seasons. Offerings included wine and chocolate biscotti.
