The Salt Lake Pagan Society has recently parted ways with Gwendoline M. Allen Newhart (married to Chris Newhart) of Pensacola, Florida living in Salt Lake City. Some of her aliases known are Gwen Allen, Rev. Lady Draikaina HPS (witchvox), Emprezz Rude or Selectrixxx Rude. She owns currently a shop, Wiggin’ and Weaving in West Jordan; a music business Gorrilla Mafia Entertainment; a cleaning business Crossroads Cleaning; a tour group Tour Utah Activities; and a school of New Age spirituality called “S.T.O.N.E.-Spiritual Teachings on Natural Eclecticism”.
She conned more than $30,000 from society members and itself in the name of “Voodoo and Santeria” for protection in her Voodoo house Ille Ori Ille Iku, for cleansings of evil and negativity, and for her version of cult spirituality. The excitement of a new tradition and the exploration of Afro-Cuban diaspora coupled with Ms. Allen’s charismatic excitement and Florida East Coast attitude slowly reeled in the members. The truth was revealed over the last few months and the pieces put together, and the exit from it all made over Thanksgiving.
For the benefit of the Society and the members, SLPS advises those who come in contact with her to use caution and take her fast talking business selling proposal Florida tactics with a grain of salt and to seek out other psychics and advice.

Utah, arguably the fraud capital of the United States, If you’re a slippery type, these figures represent a heck of an opportunity. Indeed, the priests, ministers and thetans below have grabbed this chrysobull by the horns, perpetrating religious swindles that put the finer tenets of their theology to shame. Gwen Allen has shamed herself and her businesses, by using people’s worst times in their life for them to get money, I have some friends that she has promised things, took over $1000’s, claimed she sold them “spirits/ Orishas” that would keep them safe and protect them from other spirits. Only to find out it was a plate of cement, A fraud a fake, and she is still allowed to do this to other people!
Sorry to hear that Mathew. We had similar expereinces, which is why we put out the public notice to those who may be involved or going to be working with her, so they know what we went through and can decide for themselves. Sadly it’s all cash based, but you would need a collective of people against her in court to really stop her business practices.
I completely support this article and I’m glad that there’s people warning others about Gwen’s scams. It’s such a sad reality to see people brain washed by her hoaxes. She will definitely get you to spend more and more, “your current protection isn’t enough” pitch is ongoing. There’s no doubt that she may have a gift, but she definitely feeds off the vulnerable. I spent 1K+ All for her to say, ” oh it wasn’t meant to be.” What the heck are you even paying for? A project that can be made a home? Well respected, true practitioners from different sources have corrected on how certain rituals must be done for respect of the spirits. She’s known to even cut corners. I lost respect for her as a person, that she even feeds off vulernable young adults. It’s a complete joke.
Sorry to hear you went through that Miranda. That is why we keep the post up. We have had 7, 8 phone calls and several emails since the post was put up, inquiring about her, telling us experience similar to yours, but that they didn’t see the post till when they called etc. So we have seen that it is helping people, steering them clear, or just informing them so they can make a clear headed decision prior to engaging in business. We wish they didn’t have to waste the monies, but like us we learned the hard way and are passing it on. There is a whole community of people who are realizing what kind of person she is and who seek to help others prevent experiencing the lost of time, money, and the feeling of security and safety in their lives that happens when she enters it.
